Panelized Construction Process

Shell Construction / Dry-In Option
1. Contractor will prepare the building site, which may include clearing, grading and staking off your home.
2. The first step in construction is laying the foundation. Most common is a slab foundation or crawl space. Our homes are suitable for slab, pier or piling foundations, although other types may be available.

3. Arrival of your Solid Wood Home. The trucks will arrive and our carriers will unload the home, placing it safely on the ground for your contractor to begin.

4. Dry-in begins. Next, the contractor will begin construction on the structure. This will involve building the sub-floor (if applicable), raising the pre-constructed walls, building out the interior stud walls, building porches, setting trusses, and laying sheathing and felt.

At this point, the shell or dry-in option is complete. If this is the level of completion contracted with the builder, it would now be turned over to you.

Turnkey / Finish Option
1. Roofing completed. Shingles laid or metal roofing installed.
2. Rough-in mechanicals installed, which include wiring for electricity, plumbing, and HVAC vents.
3. Paint or stain exterior, depending on the style you have chosen.
4. Begin finish work with drywall, priming, painting and trim work. HVAC equipment and insulation will also be installed.
5. Finally, all flooring, cabinetry, interior doors, counter tops, fixtures and other finish details will be installed.
